Nile Street in Khartoum, Sudan

Nile Street is one of the most important and most beautiful streets in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, Its length is about 12 km.

Khartoum is the capital of Sudan. With a population of 5,274,321, its metropolitan area is the largest in Sudan, the sixth-largest in Africa, the second-largest in North Africa, and the fourth-largest in the Arab world. Khartoum is located at the confluence of the White Nile, flowing north from Lake Victoria, and the Blue Nile, flowing west from Lake Tana in Ethiopia. The location where the two Niles meet is known as al-Mogran. From there, the Nile continues to flow north towards Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea.

Nile Street includes many Government buildings such as the new presidential palace, the Ministry of Finance, educational institutions such as Khartoum University, public parks such as the Muqrin Family Park, cinemas and modern theatres such as the Theater and Cinema Friendship Hall.

There are also a number of museums, some historical buildings, communications building, cultural, political, educational and economic buildings. and of course cafes, restaurants, parks and parks that give the street a breather and a beautiful view.

The street extends from the White Nile Bridge linking the cities of Khartoum and Omdurman to Abdullah Al Tayeb Street, east of Khartoum. It is bordered on the north by the Blue Nile River and south by Al Gomhouria Street, which is located in the middle of Khartoum’s commercial zone.

The street is famous especially in the evening of the summer show Sudanese folklore and paintings and also considered as a large park open on the River Nile great for a wonderful evening there
